Lincoln Park

Lincoln Park

I have called Lincoln Park home for the last thirty years, so it’s no surprise that I have nothing but positive things to say about the neighborhood. When I say that there is a home for everyone, I mean it. A mix of vintage high rises and new buildings with state-of-the-art amenities line the lakefront, giving future condo or co-op owners endless options. Townhouses and row homes are sprinkled throughout the neighborhood, and single-family homes come in all shapes and sizes.

The Lincoln Park Zoo, America’s 4th oldest zoo, allows wildlife to thrive in an urban setting. It’s located within the larger park the neighborhood is named for, the zoo is free to the public and includes dozens of walking paths for guests.

The park in which the neighborhood is named after houses the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, the Chicago History Museum, and the Lincoln Park Conservatory.

Oz Park has been a neighborhood staple for the last 30 plus years. The 13-acre recreational area includes three baseball diamonds, a jogging path, tennis courts, and a playground. In the summer, park goers can picnic beside the Emerald City Gardens or bring in ice cream from the adjacent Dairy Queen. During the winter months, a sledding hill conveniently awaits.
