The City of Chicago’s Early Learning Program application portal opens for the 2017-2018 school year. Families with preschool-aged children can submit a single application for any preschool program funded by the City of Chicago by applying online. Different programs serve children of different ages and are funded in a variety of ways. Many sites have more than one type of program supported by a combination of local, state, and federal funding sources with different eligibility requirements. The Back 2 School Illinois Annual Kickoff Dinner will take place at Galleria Marchetti at 825 W. Erie from 5:30pm - 9pm. The state’s largest free school supply distribution program will host educators, community and business leaders and supporter to raise money to aid under-served Illinois students. Emceed by NBC5’s Marley Kayden, the evening includes a cocktail reception, silent auction, performances, and the announcement of the 2017 Scholarship winners and Education Award recipients. The End-of-Year Citywide Options Program for Chicago Public Schools offers a second application process for 2017-2018 magnet, magnet cluster, and open enrollment schools with seats still available. The Office of Access and Enrollment offers instructions for the process under News and Announcements starting at 9am on 5.22.17. Please note that Selective Enrollment schools are NOT part of this process.
