Millie Rosenbloom ... Leader in Chicago Real Estate
Millie Rosenbloom is an expert in consulting and negotiating with the utmost integrity on behalf of her clients. "Millie is iconic to the real estate industry," Deborah Johnson, client who has used Millie's services as a buyer and a seller in multiple transactions. Millie is a broker associate with the Baird & Warner Old Town office and has been consistently recognized as a top producer in both residential and commercial brokerage. According to the Multiple Listing Service, she has been named number one in sales in both 1996 and 1997.
Developers and investors rely upon Millie for her ability to determine upcoming market trends, product feasibility and construction costs. She has participated in the acquisition of over $520 million in land-development sites. During the past four years, she has procured over $500 million in residential developments, overseeing each from inception through the final sell-out. Millie recently sold 303 West Barry in Chicago for $21 million, which is an example of her talent at marketing unusual institutional or commercial properties for residential re-development. In the same vein, Millie successfully brokered the $17 million sale of the former Augustana Hospital facility at Armitage and Lincoln Avenues, as well as Midlane Country Club and golf course in Wadsworth, Illinois. Specializing in unique properties, she is currently marketing three historic 19th century mansions located at Dearborn and Delaware Streets in Chicago.
Most current Millie is a committee member for the Chicago Association of Realtors 125th Inaugural Gala. In 2007, Milie was the recipient of the Israel Bonds Women in Real Estate Award. Listed in the National Registry of Who's Who in Real Estate, Millie has been recognized for her impressive achievements in the real estate industry. She was named the 2003 Realtor of the Year by The Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR) and was inducted into Today's Chicago Woman Foundation Hall of Fame in 2002 as a business woman who has made a positive impact in her profession. Millie was elected president of CAR in 2001, making her only the 3rd female President in CAR's 118 year history.
Millie is a Director and major donor for the Illinois Association of Realtors (IAR). As IAR's chairperson of the 2001 National Association of Realtors convention held in Chicago, she achieved an unprecedented attendance of over 25,000 real estate professionals. She formerly served as the IAR Leadership Liaison for four of the largest associations in Illinois: CAR, NICAR, North Shore-Barrington and Oak Park. Acknowledged by her peers as an industry leader, Millie is routinely invited to speak at various real estate forums.
Millie worked diligently as President/CEO of the Habitat Company Brokerage Division, one of Chicago's largest privately owned real estate firms, from 1994-2007, when Habitat merged with Baird & Warner. Millie was responsible for overall management, including promotion and development of new business opportunities.
Millie contributes to numerous charities, including American Heart Association, American Institute for Cancer Research, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, CAR Education Foundation, Deborah's Place, Lance Armstrong Foundation, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and Real Estate Education Fund.
Millie resides in Lincoln Park with her husband and two yellow labs, Mavis Belle and Mabel Mae, and is the loving grandmother of grandsons Gordy and Nathan.
